WHISKY TASTINGS & EXPERIENCES

My primary passion is (unsurprisingly) whisky, and to date I have hosted whisky tastings, events and experiences in over forty countries around the world, delivered in both English and Spanish.

​

I have exceptional knowledge and understanding of Scotland’s whisky distilleries, brands and history, as well as the finer details of production, maturation and innovation.

​

I always strive to enlighten people about whisky by engaging and entertaining them above all else, whether it is a group of five or a room of two hundred people.

​

Whatever scale or range of whisky tasting you wish to bring to life, I have the passion, knowledge skills and experience to make it an exceptionally memorable and impactful event.

Energising and exciting people about brands is a skillset that I have carried from being a cocktail and events bartender, through to being a global brand ambassador and an independent whisky host & specialist.

​

I understand the importance of brand identity, tone of voice and story telling when engaging with a range of audiences during a range of situations from brand trainings to media launches.

​

Finding a full time brand ambassador for small scale distilleries and brands can be challenging, and so my ability to bring a brand to life effectively and efficiently in a variety of events is invaluable.

Problem solving and creative thinking are the traits and skills I very much enjoy mixing together to help brand and businesses grow and succeed.

 

Being innovative doesn't have to involve recreating the wheel, but developing tools, platforms and ideas that tackle legitimate challenges while drawing attention to your objectives or business.

An objective perspective, insight and mindset is often required to help move your business and brand forward in the direction you wish it to go.

Whether you have a start-up with four people or a global brand with 500 employees, I have the creativity, insight and skillset that will generate solutions that can bridge where you are now to the next stage of your brand plans and business roadmap.

DRINKS STRATEGY & MENU DEVELOPMENT

During my years as a bartender in Scotland, Australia and Spain, I have created and designed numerous menus, cocktails and drinks programmes. 

 

In my five years at Bacardi, I developed global drinks strategies which were rolled out in over forty key markets. 

​

My experiences have taught me that insight, research and simplicity are paramount when developing an effective drinks strategy.

​

Ultimately I have an extensive knowledge of a global array of drinking trends, preferences and occasions, as well as an in-depth understanding of how to leverage and present different styles and categories of drinks to engage guests & consumers effectively.

EVENT HOSTING & CREATION

Live events and activations are where I fully thrive, and have (co-)created and launched numerous platforms, series and one-off events over the years.

I relish the process of creating an idea and seeing it come to life, but ultimately bringing people together in the same space where they can engage with different brands and other like minded professionals or people.

​

From small and intimate gatherings, to brand launches and conferences and seminars around the world, I have extensive experience on the detailed logistics and level of execution required to create a successful event for your brand or business.

I have always been passionate about design, and started freelancing as a graphic designer in 2014

as well as creating numerous designs for my own projects.

​

I have made logos for brands, built multiple websites, designed drinks menus for bars, created social media toolkits and strategies, email templates, POS and merchandise. 

​

At Dewar's I was also in charge of creating and managing the advocacy toolkits for our team of global ambassadors. 

​

I'm a strong believer in that a great design starts with a great brief, and as such I have worked closely with (and briefed in some cases) some of the most renowned brand design agencies including Stranger & Stranger and GLOCK. â€‹â€‹â€‹

MENTORSHIP

I have always enjoyed giving my time to anyone who needs a steer on how to navigate the hospitality, drinks and whisky industries.

​

From either training junior bartenders or new whisky ambassadors, I'll always try and pass on a few useful nuggets, skills and ways of thinking from my experiences and travels. 

​

In 2024 I was invited to be a mentor in the Our Whisky Foundation Mentorship Programme, which provides females who are currently working in (or want to work in) the whisky industry with guidance and career advice
